Eye-Catching Color and Compact, Versatile Size
Why Harbor Dwarf Nandina?
Looking for a small, low-maintenance shrub with big landscape impact? The Harbour Dwarf Nandina is the perfect choice!
Truly a dwarf Nandina, the Harbour Dwarf stays small and compact, growing just 2-3 feet tall and wide. Its small footprint makes it perfect for foundation plantings, mixed borders and even groundcover. You can even use it as a backdrop in containers!Â
Nandinas provide the perfect pop of color –Â and Harbour Dwarf is no exception. New growth emerges a pink-copper hue, and turns a vibrant bronze-red in fall. This easy-going shrub will provide a welcome contrast against greener plants and trees.
The best part? This dwarf Nandina shrub is low-maintenance, with great tolerance to any soil and minimal care requirements. Plus, the Harbour Dwarf does not fruit heavily – making it less likely to spread where it’s not wanted and safer for local wildlife.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Nandina in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. Once you’ve selected your location, dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your shrub’s root ball, place your shrub, and water the surrounding soil.
2. Watering: Let your soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches in between waterings. Once your soil is dry, give your Nandina a deep watering at the base.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Nandina at the beginning of every spring and in the middle of summer with an acidic fertilizer.
